rev. dr. john l. Tillery, Jr.

Rev. Dr. John L. Tillery, Jr., along with his life and ministry partner, Co-Pastor Katina Tillery, are the founding pastors of Free Worship Ministries International, located in the heart of Lexington Park, MD. Established in August 2016, this Southern Maryland ministry is focused on spiritual development and personal growth through leadership training, educational programs, family counseling, a food pantry, and homeless support initiatives. As a distinguished figure in gospel music, Pastor John has earned numerous accolades, including three Stellar Award nominations, two Voices of Gospel Music Awards, and an EnSound Music Award. Pastor John also received two considerations for Grammy Award nominations and a BET Award nomination. He leads the singing group Living Sacrifice, which has traveled globally, sharing the message of God's love and salvation. They have several recordings and he was even featured in the motion picture "Guilty By Association" starring Morgan Freeman and the HBO documentary City Of Peace. In his roles as pastor, singer, songwriter, producer, actor, and author, Pastor John strives to inspire, encourage, uplift, motivate, and edify the body of Christ through his creative and spiritual endeavors. Pastor John's first book, "Strengthening Your Faith," is a must-read daily devotional designed to deepen your knowledge of God and His immense love for you, featuring empowering daily scriptures, vivid stories that bring the scriptures to life, affirmations for self-encouragement, topical prayers, and reflections to ponder throughout your day.
